1981 Pontiac Grand Prix

The one thing I remember about this car is how I felt grown up with it.  Now, looking back on it, I looked like someone’s grandfather driving it, but glad I never noticed that.  This car was white with the maroon velour interior. I thought this was the coolest car ever. It felt like and looked like I was driving around a living room couch. Not the kind of couch that would be a comfy one to hang out in, the living room couch your grandmother would have in the 1970’s.

I looked like someone’s grandfather driving it, but glad I never noticed that.

I would have had this car for much longer except, I was one of those people that didn’t know what I was doing and took the car to jiffy Lube. This was back in the time when Jiffy Lube was being sued because they would only loosen the nut to release oil, as opposed to fully removing it and would sometimes forget to tighten it.  Well, my car was one of those cars and on the way home from an oil change, the engine seized on me.  Lesson learned…painfully.
