1997 Cadillac STS

The Cadillac NORTHSTSAR V8.  Many criticize the engine today, but back when it came out, it was a gamechanger for Cadillac.  I feel like Cadillac has been searching for different identities over the years, once the energy crisis came and changed everything in the 70’s and 80’s.  As I mentioned earlier, I always loved Cadillac’s, but this was different.  Now, I not only saw the cars my grandfather drove, but I saw that merged with a car that I want to drive!  Something with a little Oomph.

I always loved Cadillac’s, but this was different.

This car was the dark green with a tan interior.  This is also the car that I owned for the longest period.  Now, part of that is that I had a company car much of those 10 years!  But I loved hearing that car, being in that car, not paying for gas in it, but everything else was great.  It looked pretty cool, too.  Remember this was the late 90’s and early 2000’s!

If I hadn’t had this car, after the Deville experience, I may never had bought another Cadillac.  This is the car that changed my mind on that brand, and I believe started the process of changing Cadillac into a bit more of a performance brand.
