1995 Chevy Cavalier

This was my first brand new car. I had finally gotten a real job and decided I needed a new car to be able to go back and forth. My job was down in a town called Northbridge which is about 45 minutes away and $500 cars were no longer going to cut it. This was 1995, so the car was teal green with an almost fully matching interior. This car, like almost all my other cars was a 5-speed manual.

This car was a great car, but i soon learned what “throwaway car” was.

This car was a great car, but I soon learned what “throwaway car” was.  This car was great up until about 43,000 miles and then it started to have all sorts of problems. I guess you get what you pay for. And that’s when I realized that maybe you need to spend a little bit more money on a car to get something that’s gonna last a little more.

The car was teal because my friend Jim had just bought the exact car in a purple color (like a plum), and I really wanted that but there was no way we were going to “twins” Chevy Cavaliers through the Northbridge / Uxbridge / Grafton area!
