26 Nov 1990 Porsche 944 S2
Yep, another Porsche 944. I had to have the same color red, the same interior black. But this was a specialty S2 model. I bought this car from Houston, and I learned a very valuable lesson. You see, when a woman says, “I don’t really care what you do, do whatever you want!” That’s not what she means.
When I get something in my head, I can be sometimes overwhelming with it. That becomes my focus, that becomes what we’re going to talk about until I get what I want. Unfortunately, this car is the perfect example of that. I was being a total pain in the*** about the car, I wouldn’t let it go, I kept looking. No matter what she said I kept looking at this car and I knew I was going to have it someday. I remember one night, while looking at the car again, my ex-wife said and I quote I don’t give an F what you do, if you want the car so bad go buy the damn car!” You see, I didn’t really read the body language, or the tone in her voice, or the fact that she had said no probably 10 times. I heard what i wanted to hear and I got a yes!

It was a few days later when the car arrived from Houston, that I realized I had misread the situation 🙂
I’m not sure that she ever actually sat in the car, and I know she wasn’t overly thrilled when we had a hurricane coming and I had to make sure the car was safe and secure before you know getting the important things ready.
Don’t worry, it all got done, I just think the order probably should’ve been changed up a bit!
Quick note, I bought the car from Houston, and had it shipped and then sold the car to a guy who flew up and drove it home. As we are talking, I got him at the airport, I asked where he was from. Houston! It turns out the car went back about 3 miles from where I got it. I always felt good about it going home.
